Charles Durning; 20th Century Abstract Art; Remembering Joseph Brodsky
Tuesday 03/19/1996
Charles Durning reminisces about working with Tennessee Williams and Joseph Papp, and his current play, "Inherit the Wind," in which he plays the role based on William Jennings Bryan. Art critic Mark Stevens, curator Mark Rosenthal, and artist Frank Stella reflect on abstract art in the 20th century and share the upcoming exhibit at the Guggenheim honoring the style. Three poets--Tomas Venclova, Anthony Hecht, and Mark Strand--remember former Poet Laureate Joseph Brodsky and the influence he had on them.
